Why is the physician on my lab order different from the physician who referred me?

On your lab order, you will see a UPIN Number, NPI Number, and Ref Physician Provider. This information pertains to one of the physicians in your state who are in our physician's network. Even though your physician referred you to our service, we have our own licensed physicians who review and approve the order and review the results when they are released.
